Andrew Perry Finishes Season Up Only 2 Points Away from Championship! ROUGEMONT, NC (November 11, 2006) -- Coming into the last Limited Sportsman race of 2006, Andrew Perry trailed the points leader by 16 points and knew he needed Lady Luck on his side. He qualified 2nd and drew 4th for his starting position. Perry raced hard, but the points leader was only a couple of cars behind him. Things took a turn when the #07 of Lofton broke a wheel, giving Perry a second hope of the championship. Perry gave it all he had, but came up short finishing second in the race. This gave him a second place points finish only two points out. With the Limited racing done, the Andrew Perry Motorsports crew made quick adjustments to the car to make it ready to run Perry's first late model stock race at Orange County Speedway. Earlier in the day, Perry had qualified 10th for the 300 lapper on tap. Perry was doing good for his first race with the late models running his own race until the right front wheel broke on his car sending him into the turn two wall. This bent the rear clip on the car ending the race early for him. Andrew and the team will be discussing options for 2007 and when plans are finalized, they will be announced here first. Perry Holds on for Second Place ROUGEMONT, NC (October 21, 2006) -- After qualifying third for the Limited Sportsman event, Andrew Perry drew 3rd for his starting position. He raced his way into the second position on the track & was racing the #07 of Matt Lofton hard when contact was made between the two. The tire only had about 7 or 8 lbs. of air left in it at the end of the race, so Perry was happy with his finish. October 7th...Race Rained Out ROUGEMONT, NC (September 30, 2006) -- Andrew Perry qualified third for the race, but had to start in the sixth spot due to winning the last event. His car was not handling as good as it was the last race and around lap 30, Perry's throttle linkage came loose going into turn one. He had to coast into the pits for the crew to fix the issue. After losing several laps in the pit area, he came back out for the last couple of laps and finished 9th. ANDREW PERRY TAKES FIRST CAREER VICTORY!!!

ROUGEMONT, NC (August 26, 2006) -- Andrew Perry qualified 9th for the Limited Sportsman feature. He dropped to the back of the field before the start of the race. ROUGEMONT, NC (July 22, 2006) -- With new rules in effect for the Limited Sportsman Division at Orange County where the top six qualifiers draw a pill to determine their starting position, Andrew Perry qualified third, but drew the top spot for the night. When the green flag flew, Perry pulled away and took the lead coming out of turn two. The car started to develop a tight condition, allowing the #07 of Matt Lofton to catch back up to him take the lead away. He fell to third when the #2 car of Chris Denny swiped the position away. On lap 19, Daryl Carver in the #5 Chevy got a run on Perry's inside. The two got together on the frontstretch and both were sent into the outside wall. Perry hit head on & Carver's left rear hit. Carver was able to continue the race, but Perry's night was done. The front clip of the car was pretty much destroyed in one of the hardest hits Perry has had racing, but luckily he walked away. Perry still holds the points lead in the division, but now only owns a slim two point margin over the second place man. In the fast lane ROUGEMONT -- It was a tree-hugger's worst nightmare, that ozone hole-poking, eardrum-rattling mix of air and noise pollution.
